The idea for Amazonia emerged no less than 3 years ago after a series of travels through the jungle, where the abundance of colour and diversity took Arne Quinze by surprise. Especially at night! He transferred this explosion of natural beauty into an art installation that is now suspended between the green walls of the three-floors-high entrance hall. The installation features LED-lights hidden in every corner and on every edge, resulting in a play of colour and light that hasn’t been preceded in Arne Quinze’s earlier work. The Amazonia sculpture is reminding us to protect the earth’s endangered lungs. But there’s more: it has also been scientifically demonstrated that adding green to our work environment improves productivity and creativity.
