Wildflower Fields paintings — Atelier, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium

Wildflower Vase

This giant canvas is one of the most important paintings of Arne Quinze's Wildflower Fields series. After creating a wall sized canvas for the Jan Palfijn hospital in Gent - as an ode to all health workers - the reactions moved him to create another work with atypical dimensions. He has been painting this one during quarantine, while in his garden spring was bursting to the fullest. This painting is definitely an ode to nature, to his wildflower garden, as he has been admiring every single flower popping around his house and studio during these strange times. Every one should surround their house with nature, and have this kind of natural biotope which can be admired 24/7 and - once in a while - have a glance of it inside, in a vase.
