Each painting by Arne Quinze is a representation of his admiration of nature and the energy and force it brings him. Through his art, Quinze seeks to share his passion for the organic and colourful environment, instilling a sense of awe and wonder in viewers.
For the very first time, Arne Quinze also paints bushes next to his wildflowers. For the artist, painting bushes, recalled a childhood memory where he often hid in dense canopy. This gave him a sense of safety and protection. The bush offered him a hiding place, a space to escape from reality. This remains relevant in Arne Quinze's life. Nature still offers him a refuge from the high pressures imposed by society. “The world today expects so much from us that you feel the need to escape everything sometimes.” Quinze can find that safe haven in nature, in his flower garden at home.
