A new landmark for India

An oasis in the urban jungle, a place for rest and social interaction. This clearly coincides with Arne Quinze’s ideas of bringing nature back into the city.

The artwork will reference to nature as this has been a guideline throughout the full oeuvre of the artist and in particular it references to the nearby creek and mangroves. Like the grove nearby the river, the art installation will protect its visitors under its wings. Just like the mangrove provides shelter for life in the river, forms a defense against storms and gives a particular shape to the coastline. The installation brings honour to the importance of the mangrove in our ecosystem.
